Ken Muse Original

4 Jun

Yours Truly with an original Ken Muse strip (courtesy of my folks)! Ever since purchasing a Ken Muse book while traveling in Nebraska, I’ve become a huge admirer. His 1960s WAYOUT comic strip really pioneered a lot, with even comics like Far Side following in Muse’s footsteps. If anyone knows where a collection of his comics can be found, please comment!

What an artist!

I like the style of Ken Muse too – very clean and defined work. A favorite artist of mine is Paul Rivoche. Especially like the architecture he incorporates into his illustrations. It’s also fun to see the background on this photo – the artist desk with work on it, and the red biplane back there with the darth vader mask. Maybe we’ll see an upcoming Fence comic with Darth Vader flying a biplane?

Haha! Thanks Carknow! I’ve never heard of Paul Rivoche, but I’ll certainly search for his work. Like you said, Ken Muse’s neat lines are just amazing. How he keeps everything looking so polished is beyond me!

Hmmm. I could see a dogfight with Vader in a red biplane. Maybe chasing some cropdusters! 😉 “I have you now!”
